The August program – How to Market to People Who Are Not Like You – will feature Alejandra Puerto, an account executive with Dallas’ McDonald Marketing. Gone are the days of mass marketing. The marketing environment has become more complex, and consumers more sophisticated. Puerto, a Mexico City-native, will discuss how that environment has changed and what it takes for your company to be in shape to reach the ever-evolving consumer base. Diversity is the new norm, and this diversity is not just racial diversity but gender, race, age, life stage, language preference, sexuality and hobbies or special interests. Puerto will cover how adding new “exercises” to your marketing routine can really stretch your marketing muscles and bring incremental results. Learn about the hottest new market segments and how they are shaping culture; the key emotional drivers for important target segments and how your business can leverage those in marketing messages; which group represents the largest opportunity for your business right now and which group will be your greatest opportunity tomorrow; and specific strategies and tactics for identifying your high-potential prospects and how to reach them effectively. The general public is welcome to attend this luncheon presentation. The cost is $12 for members, $15 for non-members.
